Kitty

It was 20 below 0 this morning… as in: 52 below freezing!  That was just as the sun was coming up, so I’m guessing it was even colder at 4:00 this morning.  That earned Kitty a night in the house.  She was extremely pleased.

She patrolled the bathroom counter tops, the kitchen sink, under the cupboards, and on top of the towel shelf.

She checked out my coffee cup, my water glass, the dog’s dishes, and the compost jar.

She slept on top of the tv, on top of the towels, on top of our coffee table books, underneath the coffee table, and on Jack’s bed.

She didn’t catch any mice.  Maggie ate all her kitty food this morning and will likely be sick later today.  Jack is disgruntled by her mere presence anywhere near his water bowl, food bowl, Maggie’s food bowl, or anything that looks like a bed he may someday want to lay on.  He has spent the morning pacing the house and making huffy noises (I believe this may be because he’s been cooped up in the house for two days as much as because of Kitty, though).

And she thinks my writing utensils are a toy.

Be careful Kitty.  You don’t want to wear out your welcome before the temperature warms up!
